Black Dyke Mill history group and Queensbury youth club are doing a project which involves the history of people who worked at the mill.
The event will take place from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm on the 12th of August at Victoria Hall.
This is an open day for people who worked in the mill to come down and record their stories. Young people from the youth club will be recording people’s voices and putting them on a disc. Hopefully these recordings will become part of the the display at black Dyke Mill history group in the future.
Why not attend with your friends, have a coffee, or tea and a biscuit. Treat it like a coffee morning/afternoon. Chat amongst yourselves to recover the old memories of the mill. Then share these memories with the youngster’s, they will record them for posterity.
