On arrival, Victoria Hall was packed to capacity, there was a buzz of excitement amongst those attending. A mug of mulled wine was appreciated after our walk to the venue on a cold damp winter evening.
The whole of the evening was a resounding success, The Queensbury Singers were on form and the quality they projected resembled and met those of choirs seen on TV.
It was a pleasure to see the Queensbury Singers Juniors, they were superb.
AKA our local dance group also excelled, the intermediates followed by the seniors gave a very impressive performance, how do they manage to keep that level of physical effort going for so long? It beats going to the gym and using a machine.
The drummers of the Junk Funk Band were simply amazing, what a performance!!!
Accompanying most of the performances were the Queensbury Brass Ensemble, what a performance, outstanding, lets keep our tradition of brass bands in Queensbury.
Then there were delicious cakes, drinks, a raffle with many prizes.
It was a superb evening for all attending, whether taking part in the performances or being a member of the audience.
My thanks are extended to all who took part, the organisers, helpers, performers and those hidden in the background who performed their essential roles.
CAN WE DO SOMETHING ON SIMILAR LINES IN THE FUTURE, I HOPE SO.
